48″ x 72″ triptych, oil on canvas, 2010

“Midnight Jaguar” represents a half-flesh half-skeleton god that navigates the space between life and death, and embraces the mystic spirit of the jaguar, who rides the wave of life, bleeding his spots into the midnight sky. This painting was part of the Day of the Dead installation “Broken Dreams/New Seeds” at MSU Museum in 2010.
